A prototype is an early version of a product, app or website used to validate assumptions or test out ideas, without having to build an all singing all dancing solution.

Prototypes are often used by businesses who plan to launch a new app or product and want to test their idea before upfronting large development costs. Equally, prototypes can be an affordable way for entrepreneur or start-ups to build out a version of their product in order to raise funds.
